Large Participation of TBCC in the 2nd Tunisian-UK Trade & Investment Forum
A large business delegation of the Tunisian-British Chamber of Commerce (TBCC) led by its President Mehdi Ben Abdallah, took part in the 2nd Tunisian-UK Trade & Investment Forum, held on October 22 in London.
Members of the delegation have actively participated as speakers in the different panels, such as Nourredine Hajji (E&Y) who spoke about the economic and investment climate in the Tunisia, Fetah Krichene (Sfax Technopark) and Hichem Turki (Novation City) on the opportunities in the new technologies sector, or Sahbi Amara (Clarke Energy) who shared his experience in the energy sector, mainly in the energy efficiency field.
The TBCC was also represented by Cyrine Hafaiedh Triki (Aon), Mohamed Ali Aboudi (Maap), Mohamed Jed Mrabet (Cabinet Mrabet), Chafik El Behi (Future Concept), and Meriam Azabou (TBCC).
This important event, co-organised by the TBCC and Tunisia’s Embassy in London, saw the participation of Tunisian and British senior officials at the opening panel, such as UK Minister of State in the Department for International Trade Conor Burns, Governor of the Central Bank of Tunis (BCT) Marouane el Abassi, Tunisia’s Ambassador in London Nabil Ben Khedher, UK Ambassador to Tunisia Louise De Sousa, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) First Vice-President and Head of Client Services Group Jurgen Rigterink and CEO of the UK-Africa Investment Forum Paul Arkwright.
The Tunisian-UK Trade & Investment Forum was organised with a view to promote investment and sustainable development and shedding light on the potential of economic activities with high added value and innovative activities, as well as the partnership opportunities in the promising sectors of renewable energies, automotive, aeronautics and information and communication technologies (ICT).
